These cameo earrings depict the ancient mythological creature Pegasus, who was said to have sprung from the blood of Medusa when she was beheaded. A square of light blue Venetian glass features the beautiful winged horse reared back on its hind legs. Centered below the cameo is a small round ruby. Both the cameo and the ruby are framed with 18k yellow gold, with the ruby's frame featuring more detail and additional beaded accents. Made for pierced ears, these lightweight earrings hang just below the lobe and do not move or sway with head movement. While Pegasus is hard to make out unless viewed from close range, the gold, blue, and red of the earrings will grab more than enough attention.
